Youth & Young Adult Program Specialist (2151320)
This position provides career pathway and employment counseling assistance to youth ages 14-24 in Frederick County. The Specialist serves as a liaison between educational institutions, training providers, businesses, and other workforce development related partners to ensure youth have access to credible information on career and employment opportunities, education and training options, and skills development. Create and deliver presentations on career pathways, employment opportunities and workforce training programs to youth who are in school or out of school and to community and non-profit partners
Provide career counseling and screen for eligibility for workforce development programs including apprenticeship
Outreach to businesses, education entities, economic development, and other partners to understand labor market and skills needed in local economy
Identify businesses and connect them to apprenticeship programs as workforce development strategy

The part-time Fitness Instructor will teach a variety of classes, programs, and activities that meet the needs and interests of older adults and adults with disabilities. Intern - Aging & Independence (2147721)
The student intern (Spring 2025) will assist with the implementation of Dementia Friendly Frederick initiatives across Frederick County for the Division of Aging and Independence. The intern will receive direction from the Caregiver Support Program staff. Supervision is received from Director of Resource and Service Navigation.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Collaborate with community groups to develop resources and materials to raise awareness about the Dementia Friendly Frederick initiative and other Aging and Independence programs
Educate the public, community leaders, and other interested parties about Dementia Friendly Frederick initiatives
Prepare articles, flyers, and other marketing materials for publication online, in newsletters, and newspapers
